Abstract

Glucagon, a naturally occurring pancreatic polypeptide, can be used safely and effectively in the pediatric population in relaxing the smooth muscle for detailed visualization of specific areas of the gastrointestinal tract. Glucagon has diverse diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic applications in children.
