Untersuchungen zur Populationsgenetik der alkalischen Serumphosphatase-Gruppen

Zusammenfassung

Der positiv-korrelative Zusammenhang zwischen den Blutgruppen O und B sowie der langsamer wandernden alkalischen Serumphosphatasekomponente B wird für eine Reihe von curopäischen (Griechen, Isländer, Ungarn und Deutsche) und einer außereuropäischen (Perser) Stichproben aufgezeigt bzw. bestätigt. Dabei ist jedoch festzustellen, daß der Grad dieser Korrelation zwischen den untersuchten Populationen z. T. hochsignifikante Differenzen erkennen läßt. Es wird kurz diskutiert, inwieweit Diätfaktoren als Ursache hierfür in Frage kommen können. Ferner wird die Hypothese zur Diskussion gestellt, daß auch populationstypische Unterschiede in der Verteilung der der B-Bande zugrundeliegenden genetischen Informationen als Ursache für die geographische Verteilungsvariabilität der alkalischen Serumphosphatasegruppen möglich sind.

Summary

The positive correlation existing between the blood groups 0 and B, as well as the slow-travelling component B in alkaline-serum phosphatase has been evidenced for a number of random samples of European (Greeks, Icelanders, Hungarians, and Germans) and for one of extra-European (Persian) origin. It must, however, be stated that the degrees of the correlations between the populations examined partly show highly significant differences. The problem has briefly been discussed in how far dietary factors may play a part as a reason for this observation — Additionally, the hypothesis has been put forward that variations typical of the different populations and occurring in the distribution of the genetic information which is expressed by the B-bands may be the reason for geographically determined variations occurring in the distribution of the alkaline-serum-phosphatase groups.
