Summary
“Presaturation” of the organism of Leghorn-hens by inactive Cesium has no influence upon the following uptake of137Cs. Isotope dilution of radioactive137Cs by inactive Cs does not diminish the incorporation of the radionuclide. The enhancement of the excretion of137Cs in hens by NH4Fe3+[Fe2+(CN)6] is not very important. The effective half-lifetime is only shortened about 20%. But this substance is able to inhibit nearly completely the uptake of137Cs when given together with the contaminated food. Eggs as well as meat nearly contained no137Cs although the uptaken food contained 15 nCi/kg of the radionuclide.
Dagegen verhindert these Substanz die Radionuclidaufnahme fast vollst\:andig, wean she gleichzeitig mit137Cs aufgenommen wird. Dr. K.
