Summary
Soluble proteins from human liver were differentiated, and an organ specific liver antigen was isolated. By chromatographic separation of the soluble fraction of cytoplasma from human liver, a protein was isolated, which showed antigenic differences to cytoplasmic particles of liver cells. The use of isolated antigens is necessary for the determination of the specificity of circulating antibodies as they can be found in autoimmune diseases.
