Abstract
A Chou-Yang Type multiplicity distribution, which consists of a stochastic (binomial) component forz=n f−nb and a nonstochastic (negative binomial) component forn=n f+nb, is used to analyse the forwardbackward multiplicity correlations and the single hemisphere multiplicity distributions for bothe +e− and hadron-hadron collisions over a wide range of cms energy. Experimental data in full phase space are reasonably reproduced provided that themean cluster sizer is targetprojectile and energy dependent.
