Summary
TSH, LATS and EPF are inactivated by iodine in unphysiologically high concentrations. This effect is not specific for these proteins. In the same concentrations other proteins, especially gammaglobulines, are altered, too. Additionally the thyrostimulating and exophthalmogenic effect of TSH is not differently inhibited by iodine.
