Investigation of the hydraulic resistance of nonaerated rapid flows in concrete channels

Conclusion

  1. 1.

    Laboratory and prototype investigations of nonaerated uniform rapid flows in concrete flumes and canals showed that they are characterized by an original law of hydraulic resistance established earlier [1] for such flows in smooth-walled flumes and precast reinforced-concrete canals and not taken into account by calculations presently being used.

     
  2. 2.

    Formula (1) for the established values of parameters (3) corresponds to the real law of hydraulic resistance of nonaerated uniform rapid flows in concrete flumes and canals and provides their reliable calculation in the range of actual data examined in the work.
