Micro isoelectric point heterogeneity of a murine monoclonal antibody (L6) originating from cell cultivation conditions

  • Published:
Biotechnology Techniques

Summary

Isoelectric point (pI) microheterogeneity of an IgG monoclonal antibody (L6) was studied by rapid affinity chromatography, isoelectric focusing on polyacrylamide gels, and rapid ion-exchange chromatography. An abiotic or strictly chemical basis for observed changes is postulated. The described methods are useful for monoclonal antibody process monitoring since they are rapid, automated assay procedures.
