Nach der Hypophysenentfernung schwindet die uteruserregende (und melanophorenausbreitende) «Hinterlappen»-Substanz nicht dauernd aus dem Liquor cerebrospinalis.

Während das Tuber cinereum normaler Hunde einen geringen Gehalt an uteruserregender, harnhemmender und chloridausschüttender Substanz hat, wirkt das Tuber cinereum hypophysenloser Hunde auf Uterus und Harnbereitung stark ein.

3.
Im gesamten Tuber cinereum hypophysenloser Hunde ist etwa ebensoviel uteruserregende und harnbeeinflussende Substanz vorhanden, wie in 1–2 bzw. 3–4 mg Hinterlappen.
