Prevention of mercuric chloride intoxication by temporary unilateral ureteral ligation

Summary

In female rats, temporary unilateral ligation of the ureter (by placing part of it into a cranio-caudal slit of the psoas muscle) protects against mercuric chloride-induced nephrocalcinosis (on the side of the obstruction) and prevents mortality.

Zusammenfassung

Bei weiblichen Ratten verhindert die temporäre Unterbindung des Ureters die Entwicklung einer Quecksilberchlorid-induzierten Nephrocalcinose.
