Abstract

Although laparoscopy is the preferred method of removing extrauterine IUDs, occasionally removal is complicated, especially if the IUD is encased in omentum. This paper reports on five such cases in which the extrauterine IUDs were removed vaginally through a posterior colpotomy with laparoscopic assistance.
