La déformation que l'on nomme hallux valgus correspond en réalité à la première manifestation visible de l'effondrement de l'avantpied statique. Cet effondrement est la conséquence de facteurs locaux ou généraux, mais aussi d'anomalies ou de perturbations du morphotype du membre inférieur. Parmi les conséquences biomécaniques de la déviation du premier rayon, l'accent est tout particulièrement mis sur la perturbation de l'appui antéro-interne, sur les conséquences de la subluxation des orteils et sur le phénomène de l'encastrement métatarsien.

Summary

The deformity known as hallux valgus really corresponds to the first visible manifestation of static collapse of the forefoot. This collapse is due to local or general factors, but also to anomalies or derangements of the morphotype of the lower limb. Among the biomechanical consequences of the deviation of the first ray, the emphasis is more particularly on the disturbance of anteromedial support, the consequences of subluxation of the toes and the phenomenon of metatarsal coaptation.
