Determination of vitamin C by thinlayer chromatography

Summary

The proposed thinlayer chromatographic method for the determination of vitamin C works more rapidly than the paper chromatographic method so far applied. The obtained spots can be used for semi-quantitative visible, planimetrical or densometrical evaluation resp. for photometrical evaluation after elution.

Zusammenfassung

Das vorgeschlagene dcnnrnschichtchromatographische Verfahren zur Bestimmung des C-Vitamingehalts geht schneller vor sich, als die bisher angewandte papierchromatographische Methode. Die erhaltenen Fleeken sind zur halbquantitativen visuellen, planimetrischen oder densitometrischen bzw. nach Eluierung zur photometrischen Bewertung geeignet.
