Abstract

This paper extends earlier results concerningg- andh-representations for nonlinear input-output maps so that vector-valued inputs and outputs can be treated. It establishes that the range of applicability of the extended results is very wide, and it illustrates how they can be used, within the context of systems governed by differential equations. In particular, it is shown that the nonlinear variation of constants formula is a special case of our main representation theorem.
