Summary
In 100 normal individuals (♂ 56, ♀ 44; 15 to 65 years old) concentrations of fibrinogen were measured by Kjeldahl procedure and coagulation method according to Clauss. The results were analyzed statistically. The values obtained with both methods followed a distribution form approximated to the Gaussian distribution. Precion of both methods was acceptable (coefficients of variations<5%). The coagulation method showed a statistically significant lower precision (F-test). Within the examined range values of both methods agreed well. Calculated normal ranges were (\(\bar x\)±k.s., 95% limits, 90% confidence): Kjeldahl procedure 144–464 mg/100 ml, coagulation method 160–452 mg/100 ml.
