Summary
The blood supply to the tibial tuberosity may be readily distinguished in the child as part of the arterial network of the superior epiphysis of the tibia. The anterior surgical approach to the knee places these vessels at risk and may seriously compromise growth (genu recurvatum).

La vascularisation de la tubérosité tibiale s'individualise nettement chez l'enfant dans le dispositif artériel de l'épiphyse supérieure du tibia. Les voies d'abord antérieures du genou menacent ce système artériel et exposent à de graves troubles de croissance (genu recurvatum).
