Algebraic constraints for higgs multiplets

Abstract

The phenomenon of spontaneous breaking of a gauge symmetry group, provides a number of algebraic constraints which Scalar Higgs mesons have to satisfy. We discuss these constraints and give details for the cases ofSU(2),SU(2) ×U(1) andSU(3).
