  • Published:
De Economist Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

In this paper we estimate eventual tenure distributions for the Dutch economy, based on the hazard function method. The results of different specifications are presented and compared to the results yielded by an alternative method, based on Hall (1982). We find that about 40% of all workers employed in April 1985 will eventually stay with the same firm for at least 20 years.
