Abstract
A new variational method is applied to the solution of the Schrödinger equation for few-body systems. The results for three nucleons interacting via both the central and the spin-dependent Malfliet-Tjon interactions are presented and compared with Faddeev, ATMS and Green's Function Monte Carlo results.
