Summary

The preservation of 30 different transplantation tumors (rat, mouse, hamster, rabbit, and chicken) at −70°C and protected by glycerin was studied. The investigations lasted 7 months. The periods of preservation used varied from 20 minutes to 18 weeks, and proved entirely satisfactory. The results are discussed, especially the variable behavior of the individual strains of tumor.
