Summary
In the first 20 hours of a bone-marrow culture the phosphate uptake of the cells in directly proportional to the period of incubation. The marrow of rats with a myelosis shows in vitro a decreased rate of uptake of P32 of about 43.2% (±10.3%). Plasma from the myelosis rats has no effect in the tissue culture on the P32- uptake of normal bone marrow.
