Erste klinische Ergebnisse einer Behandlung posttraumatischer und postoperativer zerebraler Hypoxien mit CO2-O2-angereicherter Atemluft

Zusammenfassung

Bei 39 Fällen mit schweren Hirnschädigungen wurde gezeigt, daß es möglich ist, durch Atmenlassen eines CO2-O2-angereicherten Gasgemisches die Sauerstoffversorgung des Gehirns zu verbessern. Wirkungsweise, Indikation und Kontraindikation dieser Behandlungsmethoden werden besprochen.

Summary

It was shown in 39 cases with severe brain damage that it is possible to improve the brain oxygen supply by breathing air containing increased CO2 and O2.

Physiology, indication and contraindication of this kind of therapy are discussed.

Résumé

Nous avons fait respirer un mélange gazeux d'air enrichi de CO2-O2 à 39 malades atteints de lésions cérébrales graves et avons pu démontrer une amélioration de l'oxygénation du cerveau. Le travail comporte un essai d'explication pathophysiologique de l'action de ce mélange gazeux de même que les indications d'application et les contre-indications.

Su 39 casi di lesioni cerebrali gravi si poté dimostrare che è possibile migliorare l'apporto di ossigeno al cervello, facendo inspirare una miscela gassosa arricchita da CO2-O2. Vengono discussi il meccanismo d'azione, le indicazioni e controindicazioni di questo trattamento.

Resumen

En 39 casos con lesiones cerebrales graves se mostró que es posible mejorar la provisión de oxígeno del cerebro dejando respirar una mezcla de gas enriquecida con CO2-O2. Se discuten el modo de acción, indicaciones y contraindicaciones de este método de tratamiento.
