Modelling of the decision process in an advisory system for technological design

Abstract

The paper presents a proposal for operational design of the technological process in which the machining process is intergrated with the successive stages of the design of particular operations. The decision problems solved in the process constitute a multi-level decision system divided into several subsystems. On the basis of an analysis of the decision-making process in design, the characteristics of information necessary for its realisation have been provided. Hence, a concept of a system of machining process generation has been developed. The concept has been verified through the construction of an experimental design system.
