Additional information

The major problems posed by the Twenty-Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union on Soviet builders regarding fundamental improvement of the position of construction affairs will require the acceleration of technical progress in this field on the basis of achievements in construction science, and the implementation of progressive designs and technologies.

The solution cited below, which contains a basically new approach to the installation of foundation beneath the skeletons of frame designs in residential buildings and which makes it possible to reduce significantly the outlays of material and labor resources, and, in turn, to reduce by half the time required for installation of foundations, is an example of progressive technology in foundation engineering.

The present solution is defined by the author's testimony and has been awarded the State Prize of the Georgian SSR.
