Zusammenfassung
15 schwerkranke Kinder mit Pneumonien wurden initial 6 bis 8 Tage lang mit Cephacetril in der Tagesdosis von 100 mg/kg Körpergewicht intravenös behandelt. 11 der Kinder sprachen eindeutig auf die Behandlung an, 3 verzögert oder zweifelhaft, 1 Therapieversager. Es konnten weder lokale noch allgemeine Nebenwirkungen beobachtet werden.
Summary
15 children seriously ill with pneumonia were initially treated for 6 to 8 days with cephacetrile administered intravenously in a daily doses of 100 mg/kg body weight. 11 of the children showed a marked response to the treatment, 3 a delayed or doubtful response, and 1 failed to respond. Neither local nor systemic side effects were observed.
