Zusammenfassung

Zwei weibliche Kranke mit Simmondsscher Kachexie erfahren keine Änderung des Zustandes durch ausschließliche Hypophysenvorderlappenpräparate (Preloban). Zusätzliche Gaben von Hypophysenhinterlappen bringen lediglich Gewichtsstillstand des vorher rapiden Gewichtssturzes. Eine Kompensierung tritt erst auf, nachdem zu der Gesamthypophyse Nebennierenrinde angewandt wird.
