Abstract

The author presents a critical survey of recent books in or related to pastoral care. A review of books that may be considered of immediate benefit to the pastor and practitioner is followed by comments on several books of a more specialized and theoretical nature. A final section describes several recent publications that reflect psychosocial critiques of contemporary society and the place of psychology in it.
