Conclusions

1. For design loads of up to 300 tons on piles it is convenient to use Type-NSF-40 precast piles, while for large loads and depths of over 24 m it is convenient to use bored piles with diameters of not less than 800 mm.

2. It is important to take into account the fact that for bored piles it is necessary to apply careful techniques, especially in connection with continuous concreting and with mixing of the concrete with antifreezing chemical admixtures.
