Abstract

An enhanced Petri-net class is defined as a model suitable for describing sequence control. A sequence controller is proposed and both its software and hardware design are presented and evaluated. The use of a digital signal processor as a fast CPU in addition to suitable algorithms allows the controller to be used for real-time applications.
