Der Nachweis des Bence-Jones-Proteins im Serum

Zusammenfassung

Bei einem 59 Jahre alten Patienten mit einem „normoproteinämischen“ Plasmocytom und starker Proteinurie wurde das rein in den Harn ausgeschiedene Paraprotein präparativ dargestellt. Dieses Protein diente im Kaninchenversuch zur Erzeugung eines monovalenten Antiserums, mit dessen Hilfe es möglich wurde, das Paraprotein auch im Blut nachzuweisen. Dieses Ergebnis bestätigt in Übereinstimmung mit anderen Untersuchern, daß das „Bence-Jones-Uroparaprotein“ als Produkt einer unvollständigen Synthese bereits im Blut vorhanden ist und nicht erst in der Niere entsteht.

In a 59 year old patient with a normo-proteinic plasmocytoma and high proteinuria the pure eliminated paraprotein was separated from the urine.

This protein was given intravenously to a rabbit to produce a monovalent antiserum. With the aid of this antiserum it was possible to detect the paraprotein in the blood.

This suggests in accordance with other authors, that the urinary Bence Jones protein is a product of an uncomplete synthesis and no fractional part of an anarchic protein originating in the ren.
