Summary

Criteria designed to ensure that culture collections of microorganisms participation in MINE conform to certain minimum standards are presented. These relate to organization, objectives, holdings, staff, preservation, services, catalogues, culture authentication, research interests and investigations, training, and consultation. These are expected to be of value also to other culture collections now being established.
