Summary

In human myometrium the proportions of LDH-Isoenzymes are changed during pregnancy. This may be caused by either an alteration of enzymes in the cell or an additional growth of one cell-type in the heterogenous myometrium. Examination of leiomyomas in pregnant uteri demonstrate LDH within the cell to be changed.
