Abstract
In the present work the results of existing macroscopic theories of FMR in bulk metals are discussed and the applicability is analyzed of the resulting formulas in exact and approximative forms, which are used by experimentalists to determine the physically interesting (resonance) parameters (i.e. the spectroscopical splitting factor and the relaxation constant) from the experimental data. In the case of normal skineffect and parallel field configuration the values of the resonance linewidth, the shift of the resonance field and the line symmetry are computed from both the exact and approximative formulas for a typical metallic ferromagnet.
