42. Das Transportproblem

Summary

Air transport, in particular by helicopter, is considerably restricted as it is dependent on prevailing weather conditions. Transport by water is of secondary importance. The lack of cross-country vehicles means a reduction of efficiency in the important land transport service. A further disadvantage is the lack of standardisation in the vehicles themselves, in the equipment and radio installations. There are no plans for the effective handling of traffic and the coordination of all the means of transport available. Experience and scientific considerations have proved that the transport problem, in the event of a large-scale disaster, has not yet been solved.

Zusammenfassung

Der Lufttransport, insbesondere mit Hubschraubern, ist erheblich wetterabhängig und daher nur mit Einschränkungen möglich. Der Transport auf dem Wasser ist von untergeordneter Bedeutung. Der wichtige Landtransport wird durch das Fehlen geländegängiger Fahrzeuge erheblich eingeschränkt. Ungünstig wirken sich fehlende Standardisierung der Fahrzeuge, der Ausrüstung und der Funksysteme aus. Es fehlen Pläne für eine sinnvolle Verkehrsführung und Koordination aller Transportmittel. Erfahrung und wissenschaftliche Überlegungen haben bewiesen, daß das Transportproblem für den Katastrophenfall bisher noch nicht gelöst ist.
