Summary

The inclusion bodies, which appear in plasmocytoma cells after treatment with stilbamidine, are studied by electron microscope. The inclusion bodies have a diameter up to 1,5 µ and are enclosed by a membrane. They show a polymorphic contents. Some bodies, contain organelles like mitochondria and rough endoplasmic reticulum with signs of degradation, while others contain structures, which are described indetail. The inclusion bodies show a positive reaction of acid phosphatase, therefore they are lysosomes. The different structures within the inclusions are probably different stages of degradation of partial autodigestion caused by stilbamidine in plasmocytoma cells.
