Acetylcholine activates latent pseudorabies virus in pigs

Summary

Pseudorabies virus (PrV) was isolated from the nasal swabs and the cultured trigeminal ganglia of latently infected pigs after they were treated with acetylcholine (ACH). These results indicated that ACH activates latent infections of PrV.
