Abstract
Splenic abscess is a previously unreported complication ofClostridium difficile colitis. A case ofClostridium difficile splenic abscess is reported that developed after the patient had been in intensive care for five weeks. A response was seen to radiologically guided drainage and antibiotic therapy with formal laparotomy, and surgical drainage not being required.
