Abstract
The heating of particles in a magnetic mirror system by means of the stochastic h.f. field is discussed. The diffusion in perpendicular energies and in the amplitudes of axial motion of particles is solved, as well as the influence of the escape of particles through mirrors on the absorbed energy. The solution is in a one-particle approximation.
