Visible and near-infrared absorption of LiCl crystal with divalent nickel

  • Published:
Czechoslovak Journal of Physics B Aims and scope

Abstract

Absorption spectra of thed-d transition in the LiCl: Ni2+ crystals were measured. It was deduced therefrom that the absorption bands belong to the octahedrally coordinated divalent nickel like in the other alkali chloride crystals of NaCl type. The observed structure connected with3A2g 3T /a1g ,1 E g transitions has been discussed.
