Abstract
In part II a study is made of the linear theory of the damping of vibrations of particles in a general electromagnetic field, forming a periodic structure, from the point of view of deriving the damping exponents of the vibrations. In the first approximation the damping exponents are given by means of the coefficients of the Floquet solution of a system with zero damping.
