Abstract
The present article describes the methods for calculating a reactor with a minimum critical mass and a constant volumetric energy release rate, which is achieved by redistributing the absorber in the core. By combining analytical calculations with simulation by means of static integrators, a solution can be obtained in correspondence with the Fermi age theory.
