Summary
Report on the frequency of phenotypes and alleles of the Gc faktor (ofHirschfeld) in a random sample in south-west Germany. No notable sex differences in the 3 phenotypes Gc 1-1, Gc 2-1, Gc 2-2. The phenotype proporations correspond well with the figure expected from theHardy-Weinberg ratio in panmixia. The allele frequencies for Gc1 of 0.753 (adults) and Gc2 of 0.247 correspond with published figures of other European sample populations.
