Abstract
A generalized Bogoliubov Transformation has been introduced to include (L=0,S=1,T=0) pairs of unlike particles in the ground state in addition to (L=0,S=0,T=1) pairs for like particles. Assuming a charge symmetrical interaction for light nuclei withN=Z, it is shown that the number of independent parameters of transformation is reduced from four to three. As a consequence, the quantities characterising the ground state, the density operatorρ and the pairing tensorκ, assume the simplest possible form. The analytically soluble case of a single degeneratel-shell is treated assuming an extreme pairing force.
