Abstract
We calculate the quark condensate within a simple model for the hadronic phase by evaluating the derivative of the pressure with respect to the quark mass. The corresponding phase diagram for the transition from the hadrons to a quark-gluon plasma is discussed and we also describe the composition of the hadron gas for several temperatures and baryon densities.
