Abstract
Within the framework of the theory of excitons with retardation included, the influence of acoustic oscillations on the spectral structure of the second harmonic in a molecular crystal is examined. It is shown that, in the weak exciton-phonon bond approximation, the harmonic line shape due to this influence is Lorentzian. The temperature dependence of the line width is studied, and some quantitative estimates are made.
