Abstract
Two-sided repeated inclined patterns ate used. The principal directions of the state of stress may not coincide with directions related to the shape, which is due to the way in which residual stresses arise. The residual change in lattice constant in the surface layers is due to macroscopic stresses, not to oriented microscopic stresses.
