Reproduction of absolute scales in multichannel digital measuring instruments

Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Digital display of absolute scale readings in multichannel measurements is solved efficiently by a set of a limited number of multiplying decade decoders, provided a condensed binary-decimal code is used.

  2. 2.

The above method of obtaining absolute digital scales provides the most efficient utilization of the transmission channel in remote measurements, since the conversion to absolute scales can then be accomplished at the receiving end.
