Summary
A patient with unilateral infection of the kidney due to Salm. cholerae-suis is presented. Long-term treatment with ampicillin was of no avail. Nephrectomy terminated the infection. The extirpated kidney showed severe obstruction, stones and tissue damage.
Zusammenfassung
Es wird von einem Patienten mit einseitiger Niereninfektion durch Salm. cholerae-suis berichtet. Langzeitbehandlung mit Ampicillin war ohne Erfolg, die Infektion konnte durch Nephrektomie beendet werden. Die extirpierte Niere zeigte Zeichen schwerer Obstruktion, Steinbildung und Gewebsuntergangs.
