Summary
Various groups were examined for all types of antigens and antibodies associated withHepatitis B virus (HBV). All combinations of humoral immunological response occurred in the HBsAg-positive and HBsAg-negative groups. Reduced IgA and IgM titers were found in HBsAg carriers. There is a possible correlation between these lowered titers and the immuno-suppressive factors discussed here with respect to HBsAg.
