Summary

Release sites near the airport Stuttgart-Echterdingen are characterized by mean deviation of 90° of initial orientation from the home direction. Airport radar was not in operation for a 3 hr period on 08.28. 1986. Initial orientation of pigeons from two lofts near Tübingen remained unchanged during that period.
